A Commitment to Compassionate Care

By Huzaifa Kermani | Group Director MarComms

Fatima Memorial Hospital (FMH) is proud to report that our unwavering commitment to providing quality healthcare to the most vulnerable in Pakistan remains steadfast. Since 1977, we have been able to treat over 10 million deserving patients free of cost or at highly subsidized rates, thanks to the generous support of our donors.

A Beacon of Hope

With a remarkable 0.07% maternal mortality rate and 2.07% neonatal mortality rate, FMH continues to set new standards in healthcare delivery. Our mission to make healthcare accessible and affordable is rooted in our belief that every life is precious.

Your Impact Matters

We are grateful to our donors for their continued support. Your generosity has enabled us to provide life-saving care to countless individuals. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.

A Case for Compassion

Pakistan faces significant healthcare challenges, with a large portion of the population lacking access to essential medical services. FMH is working tirelessly to address this gap. Your donations help us provide essential care, such as:

Nephrology Services

Studies have reported a prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) ranging from 12.5% to 29.9% in Pakistan. This indicates a significant burden of kidney disease in the population.

Obstetrics and Gynecology Services

Prevalence of OB/GYN Issues:

  • Maternal Mortality: Despite improvements, Pakistan still faces significant challenges in reducing maternal mortality rates. Factors such as limited access to quality healthcare, lack of skilled healthcare providers, and cultural practices contribute to this issue.
  • Infant and Child Mortality: High rates of infant and child mortality are prevalent in Pakistan. OB/GYN care plays a crucial role in addressing these issues by providing prenatal, postnatal, and child healthcare services.

Cost of OB/GYN Care:

  • Prenatal Care: The cost of prenatal care, including regular check-ups, ultrasounds, and laboratory tests, can be a financial burden for many women.
  • Childbirth: The cost of childbirth, including hospital fees, doctor's fees, and medications, can be substantial.
  • Postnatal Care: Postnatal care, including newborn check-ups and maternal health services, also incurs costs.

Pediatric Services

Common Pediatric Diseases in Pakistan

  • Malnutrition: Malnutrition remains a significant public health issue, affecting children's growth and development.
  • Diarrhea: Diarrhea is a common cause of morbidity and mortality among children, especially in rural areas with limited access to clean water and sanitation.
  • Respiratory Infections: Acute respiratory infections, such as pneumonia and bronchitis, are leading causes of child mortality.
  • Neonatal Diseases: Neonatal conditions, including low birth weight, premature birth, and birth defects, pose significant health challenges.

Cost of Pediatric Care

  • Hospitalization: Hospitalization for pediatric illnesses can be expensive, especially for families with limited financial resources.
  • Medications: The cost of medications for pediatric diseases can vary depending on the specific condition and the availability of generic alternatives.
  • Consultations: Consultations with specialists, such as pediatricians, can also add to the overall cost of pediatric care.

A Story of Hope

Rabia, a 20-year-old college student, is just one example of the countless lives transformed by FMH. Diagnosed with Systemic Lupus (SLE), Rabia faced a bleak future. Thanks to your generous support, she received the life-saving treatment she needed at no cost.

Join Us in Making a Difference

Your continued support is vital to our mission. By donating to FMH, you are investing in the health and well-being of countless individuals. Your generosity will have a lasting impact on generations to come.

Together, we can create a healthier future for Pakistan.
