Zakat for Palestine

The people of Palestine continue to face one of the most prolonged humanitarian crises of our time. Decades of conflict, blockade, and displacement have left countless families without access to essential services such as clean water, healthcare, food, and shelter. Vulnerable groups—especially children, widows, and the elderly—struggle daily to meet their most basic needs. This project is rooted in the principles of Islamic social justice and aims to provide dignified and effective relief through zakat.

To utilize zakat funds to provide lifesaving humanitarian support to vulnerable families in Palestine—particularly children, women, and the elderly—while upholding the ethical, transparent, and religious guidelines of zakat distribution. The project aims not only to alleviate immediate suffering but also to foster resilience, dignity, and solidarity.

Through partnerships with reliable local organizations, YEÇED ensures that:

• Assistance is delivered promptly and fairly,
• Aid is prioritized based on vulnerability and need,
• All distributions comply with Islamic principles governing zakat.

The support includes:

• Emergency food parcels,
• Clothing and hygiene kits,
• Shelter and seasonal items,
• Psychological support for children and families, where possible.

Thanks to ongoing zakat contributions:

• Hundreds of families have received urgent food and shelter support,
• Children have gained access to clothing and basic necessities,
• Families report a renewed sense of hope and security amid crisis.

The project’s fieldwork has demonstrated that zakat can be a powerful tool in not only meeting urgent needs but also preserving the dignity and spiritual well-being of those most affected.
