IRC Africa Inc's Mission: IRC Africa Inc., founded and managed by the Israeli Eldad Garfunkel, is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization (tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3)) dedicated to empowering vulnerable women and girls in southern Madagascar. Our mission is to create safe, sustainable solutions to gender-based violence, poverty, and lack of opportunity through shelter, education, and long-term community support. We operate the first women's shelter in southern Madagascar, providing safe housing, trauma recovery, and reintegration programs for survivors of rape, forced marriage, and domestic violence.
