Their exclusion from the economy, their voices missing from decision making on today's most urgent problems has far-reaching consequences - for themselves, their families, communities and the world. At WEP's Leadership Academy, young women (ages 15+) in India overcome debilitating issues of poverty to become leaders, prepared to earn in careers of their own choosing and make lasting change in their own lives, families and communities. Since 2002, WEP has recognized the unlimited potential in each of its over 4,500 graduates. As part of its strategic plan to first scale across India, WEP is exploring expansion to organizations globally.
