Dear Friends,
A new school year has begun in Afghanistan, and as promised, we’re writing to update you on the student who received the scholarship that you helped to fund! A young boy named Nawid will be attending a private school in Herat province, thanks to your generosity. Nawid's father is a farmer and the family could not afford to send Nawid to school. Because of your help, Nawid will be in the third grade this school year.
Above you can see Nawid and his classmates who also received scholarships. In all, through GlobalGiving and other sources, we were able to provide 73 scholarships to students just like Nawid to study at private schools in Afghanistan this school year! We’d like to thank you once again for supporting our efforts to provide a high quality education to as many students as possible. Thank you.
