All children deserve forever families. In Haiti, if a child is born with special needs, the chances of abandonment are high. This project will provide cloth diapers to previously abandoned children with special needs. These children were rescued by our Diaper Drop partner Real Hope for Haiti, and through an innovative outreach program, they now live with foster families. These foster families provide loving care, but need help with basic needs for these children. Thanks for helping children!
All babies deserve clean diapers. Foster families in Haiti struggle to afford basic needs for children in their care, including diapers. Without a supply of cloth diapers, these children are forced to go without or are diapered with rags.
This microproject will provide a supply of cloth diapers for 6 children, previously abandoned, now rescued. Without cloth diapers, these children are diapered in rags, or go without. By having diapers, quality of life and dignity are restored.
As our partner organizations in Haiti continue to have their diaper needs solved, they are able to save funds and plan for future improvements in their care. This can mean adding educational programs, offering better healthcare, improved quality of food (more protein!) - all steps that set these babies up for long term survival and productive members of society.
