Basic Graphic and Design Skills

By Seguya Ivan | Project leader

Through our skills development initiative, girls in the communities we serve are gaining practical training in basic graphic and design tools used to create posters, flyers, social media graphics, and other digital materials.

This training is helping girls move beyond being beneficiaries to becoming skilled, confident, and economically empowered young women. By learning practical digital design skills, they can create materials for local businesses, schools, community organizations, and small enterprises, while also developing opportunities to earn an income through freelance and self-employment.

The program is strengthening girls’ confidence, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and digital literacy. For girls who face limited employment opportunities, these skills provide a pathway toward greater financial independence and a more secure future.

The impact extends beyond individual girls. As participants begin using their skills to provide services and generate income, they contribute to household stability, support local businesses, and participate more actively in community development. Their success also creates positive examples for other girls, demonstrating that education, digital skills, and determination can open doors to sustainable livelihoods.

Your support is helping us equip girls with skills that can last a lifetime. By investing in digital and creative skills training, you are helping girls build confidence, create income-generating opportunities, and become active contributors to the development of their families and communities.

We are committed to expanding this initiative so that more girls can access practical digital skills and turn their creativity into meaningful economic opportunities.
