Community Outreach and Digital Inclusion

By Seguya Ivan | Project leader

F SSIBU Mission Foundation - Uganda will conduct community outreach and sensitization activities to ensure that the benefits of the computer hub reach the people who need them most. Our outreach will focus on underserved and vulnerable community members, particularly children, young people, girls, women, and families with limited access to digital technology.

Through community meetings, school engagement, local leadership involvement, awareness campaigns, and direct community mobilization, we will introduce the computer hub and explain the opportunities available to beneficiaries. Community members will be encouraged to participate in computer literacy training, digital education, mentorship, online learning, employment preparation, and other programmes offered through the hub.

During the outreach activities, F SSIBU Mission Foundation will identify individuals who face barriers to accessing technology, including children from disadvantaged households, young people who are unemployed or lacking digital skills, and girls who have limited opportunities to participate in technology-related learning.

We will work closely with community leaders, schools, parents, youth groups, and other local stakeholders to identify beneficiaries transparently and ensure that programmes respond to genuine community needs.

Our outreach will also promote responsible and safe use of technology, including awareness about online safety, privacy, cyber risks, and responsible use of social media.

The purpose of this initiative is not simply to provide computers, but to bring digital opportunities closer to communities that have historically been left behind. By connecting people to technology, knowledge, education, and opportunities, we aim to contribute to improved livelihoods, stronger education outcomes, youth empowerment, and greater participation in the digital economy.

Expected Community Impact

Through this outreach programme, we expect to:

  • Increase awareness of digital learning opportunities.
  • Reach children and young people who have limited access to computers.
  • Increase girls’ and women’s participation in digital skills programmes.
  • Equip vulnerable community members with practical digital skills.
  • Connect young people to education, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
  • Reduce the digital divide within underserved communities.
  • Build stronger partnerships between the community, schools, local leaders, donors, and F SSIBU Mission Foundation.

With the support of our donors and partners, the computer hub can become more than a technology centre—it can become a gateway to education, skills, dignity, and opportunity for the community.
