The decision to equip our community computer hub with 20 computers is rooted in one important belief: access to technology can create opportunities that change lives. F SSIBU Mission Foundation is working to ensure that children and young people from underserved communities are not left behind as education, employment, communication, and business increasingly depend on digital technology.
For many families in the communities we serve, purchasing a computer or paying for regular access to a private computer centre is financially difficult. This affects students who need technology for research, young people seeking employment, aspiring entrepreneurs, and community members who need basic digital skills. The computer hub will help reduce these barriers by providing an accessible shared learning environment.
With 20 computers, several learners will participate in practical training at the same time. They will learn computer operations, typing, document preparation, internet use, online research, digital communication, and other useful skills. These abilities can help beneficiaries pursue education, employment, entrepreneurship, and other opportunities.
The impact will extend beyond those who directly use the computers. A young person who gains digital skills may secure employment and support their family. A student may improve their academic performance through better access to research materials. An entrepreneur may learn how to use digital tools to promote and manage their business.
