Dear supporters,
As more services,education,communication, and business activities move online, digital safety is becoming increasingly important for our community. However, many children, parents, teachers, and community members have limited knowledge about online risks such as scams, identity theft, cyberbullying, harmful content, online exploitation, and the misuse of personal information.
Through the equipped community computer hub, F SSIBU Mission Foundation will provide practical digital safety and cybersecurity awareness training to help community members use technology confidently and responsibly. Participants will learn how to create and protect strong passwords, recognize suspicious messages and fraudulent online offers, protect personal information, identify unsafe websites, and respond appropriately to online threats.
Children and young people will receive age-appropriate guidance on responsible social media use, cyberbullying, online exploitation, privacy, and communicating safely with people online. Parents and caregivers will be equipped with knowledge to better guide and protect their children, while teachers and community tutors will learn how to promote safe digital practices within learning environments.
The impact of this activity will extend beyond the computer hub. As trained participants share their knowledge with family members, friends, schools, and community groups, digital safety awareness can spread throughout the wider community. This can reduce vulnerability to online scams, exploitation, financial loss, and misuse of personal information.
For donors, supporting this initiative means helping build a community that is not only digitally connected but also digitally responsible and protected. Equipping the hub will give people the knowledge and practical skills they need to benefit from technology while reducing the risks that increasingly accompany life online.
Ultimately, this program will help create a safer digital environment for children, families, educators, and local entrepreneurs, ensuring that technology becomes a tool for opportunity rather than a source of preventable harm.
