Youth Innovation and Technology Program

By Seguya Ivan | Project leader

Dear supporters,

Young people in our community are growing up in a world where technology is increasingly shaping education, employment, communication, and entrepreneurship. Yet many talented youth have limited opportunities to access computers or develop practical technology skills. Without early exposure and guidance, they risk being left behind in a rapidly changing digital economy.

By equipping our community computer hub, F SSIBU Mission Foundation will establish a practical environment where young people can discover their potential through technology. The program will introduce participants to coding, graphic design, website development, digital content creation, robotics, and other emerging technology skills through hands-on learning.

Rather than only teaching young people how to use computers, the program will encourage them to become creators and problem-solvers. Participants will have opportunities to develop simple websites, design digital materials, explore programming, create technology-based solutions to community challenges, and work together on innovative projects. This practical approach can build creativity, confidence, critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

The long-term impact can be significant. Young people will gain skills that can help them pursue technology-related education, employment, freelancing, entrepreneurship, and further professional training. Some may use their new skills to provide digital services to local businesses, while others may develop ideas that grow into sustainable enterprises.

For donors, investing in this program means investing in the future workforce and innovators of the community. A computer hub equipped with appropriate technology can give young people opportunities that would otherwise remain out of reach because of limited resources.

Ultimately, this initiative can help transform young people from passive users of technology into skilled creators, innovators, and future entrepreneurs, contributing to stronger livelihoods and a more digitally capable community.
