Unemployment remains a major challenge for young people and disadvantaged adults, particularly those who have not completed formal education. Without practical skills, many struggle to compete for available opportunities or establish sustainable sources of income. Digital Pathways to Employment and Entrepreneurship responds to this challenge by providing computer training that equips school dropouts and community individuals with practical skills relevant to employment and enterprise development.
Participants begin with foundational computer literacy and progress toward practical applications that can be used in workplaces and small businesses. Training includes typing, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email, internet use, digital communication, online research, and basic digital organization. Participants are encouraged to practice these skills through realistic tasks that reflect the demands of employment and entrepreneurship.
For school dropouts, digital skills can become a bridge to additional opportunities. Participants can prepare professional CVs, search for job vacancies, complete online applications, communicate with employers, and access further training opportunities. Those interested in entrepreneurship can learn how computers support budgeting, record keeping, business planning, customer communication, and marketing.
The program also recognizes that digital empowerment must reach beyond young people. Community members, including adults seeking to improve their livelihoods, can gain practical skills that strengthen existing businesses and improve their ability to engage with an increasingly digital marketplace.
Our vision is to create a community where people are not excluded from economic opportunities simply because they lack access to technology or digital knowledge. Through training, mentorship, practical exercises, and continued encouragement, participants are supported to turn knowledge into action.
