Connecting Vulnerable Children to a World of Knowledge Through Technology

By Ivan Seguya | Project leader

A computer can become a doorway to information, education, creativity, and new ideas. For children living in communities where digital resources are scarce, that doorway can be difficult to reach. The Equip 20 Computers Program is our effort to bring it closer.

F SSIBU Mission Foundation is working to establish a 20-computer hub where children and young people can access practical digital learning. The initiative will serve pupils, school dropouts, girls, boys, and other vulnerable members of the communities we support.

Through appropriate training and mentorship, learners can develop basic computer skills and explore educational resources that can complement classroom learning. They can practice typing, conduct research, prepare assignments and documents, and become familiar with digital tools that are increasingly relevant to education and employment.

For children who have experienced educational disadvantage, this opportunity can help restore a sense of possibility. It gives them a space to learn at their own pace, ask questions, practice new skills, and build confidence through experience.

We are seeking donor support to provide the computers and the essential infrastructure needed to operate the hub, including electricity, connectivity, furniture, software, tutors, learning materials, and maintenance.

Your support can help transform limited access into meaningful opportunity. By investing in the Equip 20 Computers Program, donors can help connect vulnerable children to a wider world of knowledge and equip them with practical skills for the journey ahead.
