For many children, the absence of computers at school is more than an equipment problem. It is a missed opportunity to develop skills that may determine their future.
Students are expected to navigate a digital world, yet many have little chance to touch, operate, or learn from a computer.
F SSIBU Mission Foundation wants to change this by creating a 20-computer community hub that can serve learners from schools with limited or no access to computer facilities.
The hub will become a shared learning resource where pupils and teachers can receive practical computer training. Youth and school dropouts will also be welcomed, ensuring that digital opportunity reaches beyond the classroom.
Learners will develop foundational skills in computer use, typing, document preparation, internet research, online learning, and digital communication.
Donor support can help equip the centre with 20 computers, desks, chairs, reliable electricity, internet connectivity, software, learning materials, trainers, and maintenance.
This initiative can help level the playing field for children who otherwise risk being left behind.
A child should not have fewer opportunities simply because their school cannot afford a computer laboratory.
By investing in this community hub, donors can help create a bridge between underserved schools and the digital world.
The result will not simply be better computer literacy. It will be greater confidence, stronger educational opportunities, improved employability, and a generation better prepared to participate in the future.
