Opening Doors to Technology: Equipping a 20-Computer Community Hub

By IVAN SSEGUYA | Project leader

For a young person who has never used a computer, the first opportunity to learn can be life-changing.

Technology can provide access to knowledge, education, employment opportunities, communication, entrepreneurship, and information from around the world. Yet many vulnerable youth remain excluded because they lack access to computers and trained instructors.

F SSIBU Mission Foundation is working to open these doors by establishing a 20-computer community hub.

The centre will provide practical digital training for youth, pupils, school dropouts, teachers, and community members. Learners will gain foundational skills that can help them continue their education, prepare for employment, start small enterprises, and navigate an increasingly digital society.

Schools with limited computer resources will also benefit by bringing learners to the hub for structured practical sessions.

Donors can help make this vision a reality by supporting the purchase of computers and providing essential infrastructure such as electricity, internet, furniture, software, training materials, and maintenance.

This is an opportunity to transform a community space into a centre of possibility.

Every computer can become a classroom.

Every training session can become a stepping stone.

Every learner can become a future worker, entrepreneur, teacher, or community leader.

By supporting this initiative, you are not simply donating technology. You are helping young people gain access to a future they deserve.
