A child living in a rural community should have the same opportunity to develop digital skills as a child in a well-resourced school.
Unfortunately, unequal access to computers continues to create unequal opportunities.
F SSIBU Mission Foundation is working to change this by establishing a 20-computer community hub that connects underserved youth and schools to the digital world.
The centre will offer hands-on training in computer literacy, typing, online research, digital communication, document preparation, online learning, and other practical skills.
Learners from schools without sufficient computers will have an opportunity to access technology through organized training sessions. Youth and school dropouts will also be supported to develop skills that can improve their education and livelihood prospects.
Donor support can help provide the computers, electricity, internet connectivity, furniture, software, learning resources, trainers, and maintenance needed to make the centre effective.
This project can create a bridge between rural communities and the wider digital economy.
A student can access educational resources.
A young person can learn a new skill.
A school can strengthen its digital learning.
A teacher can discover new educational tools.
A community can become more connected to opportunity.
Your support can help make this possible.
Together, we can ensure that where a child lives does not determine how far they can go in the digital world.
