Dear Donors,
For most children, asking what they will eat today is an ordinary question.
For a child without a stable home or dependable caregiver, the answer may not be certain.
Some children affected by conflict and displacement in Nigeria have lost their homes, been separated from the people who once cared for them, or now live in households struggling to provide enough food. For these children, getting a proper meal every day can be difficult.
Nigeria is currently experiencing one of its worst hunger emergencies in years. Nearly 35 million people are facing acute food insecurity, and children are among those at greatest risk.
Feed 50 Homeless Children in Nigeria was created with a small and clear goal: provide regular nutritious meals to 50 homeless and orphaned children who do not have dependable access to food.
We have received our first donation. To the donor who gave us our first gift, thank you. You have helped this small project take its first step.
Once enough funds are available to begin, we will provide 50 children who need food assistance and arrange the purchase, preparation and distribution of nutritious meals directly to them.
We want this project to be personal. Fifty children means fifty individual lives. We want to know that the meals purchased through this project are reaching the children they were intended to serve.
Our team will document the work as it begins and share updates with our donors, including the number of children reached and how donations have been used.
We also thank our partners, volunteers and everyone helping us bring attention to children living without reliable access to food.
If you would like to help beyond making a donation, please share this project with your friends and family or on social media. You can also become an individual fundraiser and ask people in your network to help feed these 50 children.
Our goal is not a million meals.
It begins with 50 children, a place to sit, and a meal they do not have to wonder about.
Thank you for helping us get closer to that day.
With gratitude,
Elijah Osagie

This means that your donation may be used as a part of the main project that supports this microproject, specifically Educate 300 Vulnerable Girls in Northern Nigeria. In this event, the project leader is required to post an update to the microproject detailing the results and reasons behind this change.
If you or any other donor is unhappy with the way their funds have been used, he or she can reallocate their donation using the GlobalGiving guarantee.
