By James Malinga | Project leader
We visited Francis in hospital yesterday and have good news: he is greatly improving.
Francis is one of the directors of Mountains of Hope. Since his motorcycle accident on July 5, he has been in ICU with severe brain bleed and lung damage.
Thanks to GlobalGiving for expediting disbursement, and to one generous donor who gave $300. That gift came right on time and enabled us to purchase medications that will cover at least 5 days of his treatment. We needed that help, and it came at the right time.
Francis still has a long road of recovery ahead. ICU care costs about $400/day in Uganda.
Our GlobalGiving goal is $3,000. We’ve raised $300 so far.
$2,700 still needed for ongoing care, meds, and rehabilitation.
Francis has given his life to serving children and communities. Now he needs us.
If you can help, please donate today or share this to reach more people.
Let’s keep praying for full healing and strength for Francis and his family.

Start a FundraiserEvery microproject is intended to use the donations it receives in accordance with its stated description; however, it is important to provide project leaders with the flexibility to maximize the potential benefit from the donations they receive. This means that your donation may be used as a part of the main project that supports this microproject, specifically $300 Booster Grants for 500 Women in Mpigi, Uganda. In this event, the project leader is required to post an update to the microproject detailing the results and reasons behind this change.
If you or any other donor is unhappy with the way their funds have been used, he or she can reallocate their donation using the GlobalGiving guarantee.
