Encourage children to become wildlife stewards for at-risk, lesser-known species that are threatened by trade.
Wildlife is traded legally and illegally in vast quantities around the world. In combination, illegal wildlife trade, from poaching to trafficking, and unsustainable wildlife trade, pose great threat to the survival of many species the world over. Amplified by habitat degradation and loss and climate change, the list of species being pushed towards extinction is long and rapidly expanding. We aim to engage and empower our youth to help.
Iconic species like tigers, elephants and rhinos and the threats they face are well known, but the fate of obscure species is far more precarious. We aim to change the status of lesser-known to better-known with an educational colouring and activity book series featuring wonders of wildlife and the wild places they call home. We hope to cultivate a love for wildlife amongst children and to nurture them into becoming stewards for wildlife.
To stop the decline in lesser-known species due to illegal and unsustainable trade before it is too late.
