This project will change the life of a complete orphan Sh who scored 9.3 in her STD X examinations held in March 2017. She is one of the brightest children of Sphoorti and stood second in her School. Sh wants to prepare for entrance examinations for the premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). Your support will help her get the required coaching for one year. The project will also provide food, education, clothing, books, stationery to help her preparation.
Sh's parents passed away in an accident when she was an infant. She was sent to an orphanage when she was 5 months old. After 7 years, the orphanage closed and Sh was brought to Sphoorti. Sh is a very hard working child. She scored 9.3 in her STD X examinations. She wants to pursue Engineering in the prestigious IITs. Sh has no family support to help her studies, let alone IIT preparation.
This project solves the problem by providing Sh comprehensive care, shoes, school bags, uniforms, lunch box, travel costs, health care and required material to study well. Most importantly, it will provide her financial resources to prepare for IIT entrance examination. The total cost is Rs 45,000 (tuition) + Rs 25000 (living expenses).
The main project will provide education to 200 first generation school going girls and help them attain high school education at the least. Beneficiaries who complete school to secondary level are supported with higher education, training, apprenticeships and/or employment. About 150 families (750 people) will be direct and indirect beneficiaries of this initiative.
