Respected Donor,
Greetings from SERUDS
Leelavathi is 11yrs old economically disadvantaged girl student resident of Budhavarapeta slum of Kurnool Town, Andhra Pradesh. She is studying 6th Class 'B' Section in IGMM High School, Kurnool. Her Father is Maddileti and Mother is Padma. Her father is working as a daily wage labour in construction site, wherever mason allots the work. He is addicted to alcohol and most of his earnings he spends on cheap liquor. Due to poverty, Leelavathi’s mother is unable to lead their family as her husband hardly spends money for family’s needs. So she would like to send Leelavathi to work as domestic servant maid in near by houses to earn income rather than going to school. As her mother can’t afford the education of both the children she wants Leelavathi, being a girl child, to stop studies.
SERUDS identified her and given counseling to her parents too. Since then we are supporting her to continue her studies well to fulfill her dreams. In this critical juncture we are supporting Leelavathi to continue her studies by providing educational kit. She has been provided 2 pairs of stitched branded uniforms, Long & Short Note Books, Geometry Box, Colour Pencils, Scales, School Bag, and Shoe with Socks, Pencils, Pens, Dictionary, Erasers, and Sharpeners for the year 2014-2015, this support is for one year continuously. With this Education Support she is very happy and active at Studies, Sports & games. Now she is happily going to school regularly.
Thanking you for your generous support.
