A new academic year began in June 2018, and our Coordinators were all prepared for the usual Baseline Assessments and Grading Tests as well as new songs, skits, and other related activities. Oral and written Tests were conducted and assessed very successfully. Children were then graded into four levels based on their knowledge of the English language – Junior, Junior High, Middle Level and Seniors. Normal classes began soon thereafter.
The Coordinators themselves had fresh training from Ms. Usha Kumar, ex-Dean HRD, Mt.Carmel College, Bangalore.As in the past, she was ever willing to volunteer for our cause. The 8 sessions which Usha Kumar took in the absence of our Director, brought fresh ideas, new techniques and a whole lot of extra fun in teaching and learning. She added more games to our already existing list, to make the whole process more entertaining for the kids – and of course our Coordinators. We are truly grateful to Ms. Usha Kumar for always being so supportive and forever finding new ways to sustain interest of all concerned.
