Report One:
On behalf of URDA and the residents (Children, Women and Men) of Al Yasmine Shelter Site, we would like to thank all the donators for supporting the Protection Sector at URDA to start this initiative. As a means of gratitude and thankfulness we would like to keep you posted on each step concerning the establishment and operation of the “A Caravan Comes True” Project.
The First Steps of the “A Caravan Comes True” Project where requesting price offers for the Caravan and purchasing it after coordination with the Procurement Unit at URDA. The Caravan was transported to Al Yasmine shelter site and placed in a location that would ensure protection to all its visitors. The Protection Sector Coordinated with the team leader of the social workers and studied the potential program to be delivered to the children. After the program was studied and was found complementary to the needs of the children in the shelter site, a list with the needs for the sessions was placed and purchased to make sure all requirements are available beforehand.
The social workers team has been gathered and have received training on the implementation of activities to the children based on the approved program. The PSS team has conducted visits to the household units in Al Yasmine shelter site and formed lists of participants, taking into consideration age, gender and psychological needs.
With this being completed, we have completed the preparatory phase of the project, and are ready to initiate the implementation phase of the project.
