In December 2025, Asociación Sembrando Esperanzas organized its annual Christmas Celebration for children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer and their families. The event aimed to provide emotional support, joy, and a sense of community during a season that can be especially difficult for families facing serious illness.
150 children and approximately 180 family members participated, reaching a total of 330 direct beneficiaries.
The celebration included recreational activities adapted to the children’s health conditions, arts and crafts, a shared holiday meal, and the distribution of personalized Christmas gifts. A special visit from Santa Claus created meaningful moments for each child.
For many families, this event offered a much-needed break from medical routines and financial stress. Caregivers expressed gratitude for the opportunity to see their children laugh, connect with peers, and experience the joy of the holiday season in a safe and supportive environment.
Funds raised supported event logistics, meals, gifts for 150 children, activity materials, and transportation assistance for families traveling from rural areas.
Thanks to the generosity of GlobalGiving donors, 150 brave children experienced a Christmas filled with dignity, joy, and hope.
