The idea of the project is to provide a fasting breakfast (Iftar) to 400 orphans in the besieged Gaza Strip, including four categories distributed over four weeks, with an average of 100 different orphans each week. The total number of iftar meals throughout the month of Ramadan is 3,000.
The effects of the ongoing war in Gaza are still having a negative impact on civilians in the region, and due to the long period of the war, all food supplies available to the people have been exhausted. Among the groups most affected by this situation are children, especially orphans, whose number has increased rapidly since the beginning of the war. These children live with their relatives, who already have families and large responsibilities, and now their responsibilities have doubled.
Our project aims to provide iftar food during the month of Ramadan to a number of orphans in the Gaza Strip, thus removing part of the burden and responsibility placed on the orphans' families and relatives. By implementing a group iftar, we will work to provide children with moral support, entertainment, and group games to alleviate the effects of the war they experienced.
The long-term impact of our project will be primarily psychological, reflecting the concept of compassion among Muslims and promoting the idea of one body. On the other hand, supporting civilians there and helping them secure their basic needs will have a significant impact on preserving their presence and survival in their land.
