Sunrise over Haiti. I have always loved to watch sunrises and sunsets.
They remind of all the coming blessings of the new day and offer a moment to reflect on them at the end of the day as well. Philippians 4:19 ' And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.'
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Psalm 100:4 - 'Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.'
Thanksgiving is just a few days away. Our turkey is defrosting in preparation for our family gathering on Thursday. A little smaller this year with just 17 in attendance. Three will be absent due to the arrival of our 16th grandchild last week. She decided to arrive for Thanksgiving rather than Christmas and is a real blessing to our clan.
There is so much to thankful for this year. Everyday I spend time thanking God for His many blessings. They can be personal, familial, communal, and ministerial. Blessings large and small. Everyday when I sit quietly and reflect on my day I see God's handiwork all around me. In those I love and in those I have just met or encountered.
As you know we have been sharing often in the past few weeks about Giving Tuesday and our Friday morning prayer for Haiti.
We deeply hope that you will all take advantage of the Giving Tuesday opportunity on November 28th. If each person on this mailing would donate just $10 we would reach and surpass our goal of $10,000. So please enjoy your Thanksgiving dinner with your family. and if you imbibed, enjoy Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but try to keep a few funds available for those who need your help during this giving season.
Remember the we will once again to praying for Haiti on Friday November 24th at 9:00am. Please take a minute and join us. The more we pray the better. Encourage your friends and family to join you. Thank you.
