Good afternoon.
We hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend. We know we enjoyed our time with family.
Below are pictures of the prep and planting of our new congo bean field. The mature sugar cane ready for harvesting and also the new farm motorcycle.
Each of these has been made possible by your generous donations.
The new crop of congo beans will potentially be a money crop to help support the farm and workers, when it is harvested. The sugar cane is also a potential money crop with the revenue going into payroll and other operational needs in the community.
The new motorcycle will allow Fanfan to move more freely between the farms and doing other activities. The older motorcycle will be used by the workers. It was getting too old to make the daily climbs up the mountain. Fanfan is very happy with the new bike and its power.
As you know, if you have been following our journey in Haiti, the work is never done and it always takes longer than expected.
We continue to seek help in purchasing a mixer, crusher and briquetter for our charcoal processing. These items will need to be imported once we have raised the $5,000-$8,000 they will cost. We also have many donations that we would like to ship to the Haitian schools we work with. We have over 20 containers, just under 1 ton of items, that will cost over $2,000 to put into a container heading for the island.
If you could help with a donation for either of both of these needs we would be very grateful, as would the students, workers, and their families.
Thank you.
Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Cor 16:14
