BonZeb recently installed a portable water pump in the river near our site in Bernaco. This pump will allow local farmer to pump water directly to their fields and not have to transport it in buckets. The additional water will allow for longer growing season and better crop yields.
This aid along with the BonZeb plow that over 50 farmers are now sharing is increasing their ability to feed their families and take produce to market, where they can sell their excise for much needed income.
It is a small project, but one that makes a huge impact on the lives of those we serve. It would not be possible without support from donors like you. Your charitable gifts go directly to Haiti and to the people who work with us on our mission.
These are just two of the examples of giving a hand up and not a hand out to the people.
We would like to add additional pumps along the 3-5 miles of river bed that cuts through the valley between Bernaco and Boucantiste. We would also like to add at least one more oxen team and plow for the farmers in the area around Boucantiste.
Each of these items will cost approximately $3,000.
The much needed donkey train that is needed to transport supplies between these site will cost an additional $2,000.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 for this work.
Please consider making a donation today to help reach this goal.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Please continue to pray for Haiti and for our mission.
