Each day is a challange. That is the norm. What is expected. The farmers and families we are working to support and serve know this fact all too well.
Scratching out an existence is hard work for the able body on the hilly and rocky land that our team calls home.
It is even more difficult when one has a medical issue, sickness, injury, etc. That is the case for one of our key employees right now. He needs to have eye surgery. Not something available on the mountain, or even in the neighboring village and cities. He will have to make another trip to the South to see an eye surgeon and have the surgery in October. We need to raise the funds to fly him there for a few weeks. Your help would be appreciated in paying these bills. And your prayers for a successful operation and recovery.
As you know the situation in Haiti is still very volatile. A lot of careful planning has to take place before you do anything, Safety is always a concern and the number one priority.
That said, things on our part of the little mountain are going well. The crops are very strong and everything is growing. Our sugarcane will be ready for harvesting sometime in December and the other crops are feeding the locals. The tree saplings are progressing well and could be ready for replanting in the summer of 2026.
Thank you for your past, present and future support for BonZeb and its mission to the poorest of the poor in Haiti. We look forward to continuing our mission with your support.
