The project is designed to reach the population of 40 villages in 30 km radius (having little or no access to any Government/Private medical facility) through "Sangat" Health Center.The death ratio in these villages is high among women and the newborn due to diarrhea,typhoid and hepatitis.The health center will provide the children,women and men regular checkup visits,ambulance,free medicines and vaccinations to prevent themselves from seasonal,permanent and water-borne diseases including polio
The pregnant women and infants are among the most affected in the villages of Sadhoke (A town in District Gujranwala) because of limited or no medical facilities/ambulance services.Common problems such as prenatal and postnatal routine check up often leads to pregnancy complications and infant mortality due to the absence of medical facilities.The infants and children in these villages fell prey to the prolonged sickness thus making these areas most vulnerable.
The Health Center will provide facilities i-e regular check-ups,vaccination(polio and others), medication,first-aid,ambulance service,heath awareness and medical camps to the 40 villages in a 30 km radius.The Center's major focus will be to improve the health condition of Pregnant women,infants and Children and to provide adequate and timely services to the poor communities.The Center has its own building located in Sadhoke(A town of Gujranwala) but is not operational due to lack of funds.
(1)Decrease in the water-borne and seasonal diseases i-e Typhoid,Diarrhea,Hepatitis in the 40 rural areas.(2)Improved health of Women, Children and infants due to timely vaccination and medication. (3)Decreased death-rate due to the provision of ambulance service.(4) Improved sensitization among women,children and rest of the communities about diseases and its prevention.(5)Improved sensitization about the first aid provision among the communities of the 40 areas.(6)Reduced polio affected cases
