The A Name, A Future project continues to serve as a lifeline for children and families in Aleppo, Syria, as the city faces a new wave of violence. Once a vibrant cultural and economic center, Aleppo is once again under siege. Clashes are intensifying, and jihadist militias are advancing, spreading fear, instability, and destruction.
Our colleague Jacob, who lives and works in the city, shares:
"Aleppo has become an unwelcoming place, but for us, it is still home. The longing for peace is a silent cry that we hope someone, one day, will hear."
In the midst of this dire situation, our local team remains steadfast. Every day, we provide psychological, educational, and material support to the most vulnerable children—many of whom are deeply traumatized by the war. The center's activities—from studying to playing, from tutoring to moments of listening—offer a safe space where children can simply be children again.
The humanitarian crisis worsens by the week, but our commitment is unwavering: to offer a future, dignity, and hope—even in places where they seem to have disappeared.
