Challenge

In Nigeria, the population of Orphans and Vulnerable Children is on the rise. These children endure perilous circumstances such as life on the streets, neglect, poor medical and hygienic conditions, homelessness, malnutrition, and various forms of abuse-sexual, emotional, and physical. These adversities not only harm the children themselves but also have detrimental effects on society, increasing the risk of death, fostering unhealthy lifestyles, and perpetuating social problems.

Solution

Tabitha Home focuses on the total well being and development of the children by providing them with tools and opportunities to pursue a desirable life and sustainable future. Through formal and informal education, we instill a sense of belonging and educate them on their rights for protection. We have a committed team of trained professionals playing roles in administration, psychosocial support, caregiving and medical care; ensuring holistic care and development for every child under our care.

Long-Term Impact

This project will enable the beneficiaries (Vulnerable Children) to contribute positively to the society through advocacy and creativity, to participate confidently in healthy social competitions, to recognize their values, potentials and core strengths, to become empowered young people who are self reliant and productive; hence reducing social problems and supporting sustainable growth and social development.
