This project will build a safe place to play and learn for 650 children in Siloe, a very poor and violent neighborhood in Cali, Colombia, therefore they can participate in organized activities to play, do sports, socialize, learn, and express themselves that will help them to develop social skills different from the contexts of violence in which they live.
650 children and families from Siloe, dont have a decent and safe place to play, do sports and learn. Siloe is a sidehill neighborhod in the city of Cali overcrowded and characterized by extreme poverty and violence. It has 11 cm of public space per person, one community library and one park, situation that make it very difficult for kids and young to find spaces for socialization and creation of life projects different from the corner, insertion into armed groups, crime and drug trafficking
The construction of new spaces of socialization for boys and girls and their families in Siloe, become a solution that will help children and young make good use of their free time, practice sports, participate in cultural activities, have a place where families can meet and bond and practice activities to develop social skills to prevent all types of violence.
The project will allow 650 children and their families to have a place to have fun, grow, play sports, laugh and be able to use their free time in activities that promote coexistence and peace building.
