Dear Donor,
The war in Tigrè, begun on the 4th of November 2020 in the Ethiopia, sees facing each other the Tigray People’s Liberation Front against the Federal Government headed by Prime Minister Abi. Till the beginning of 2020 the Country was considered the most stable of the Horn of Africa and after two years this conflict is still involving not just Ethiopia, but also the neighboring Eritrea.
Receiving updated news from our local representatives is always more difficult because of the social instable condition and because of the recurring lack of electricity. The situation is increasingly worrying: up to now schools are open but some of them have been sequestered, there are strong controls and limits to people’s movements inside the Country and young men are enlisted every day.
Some activities of our locale representatives are going on with discretion in order to help the local population. In particular, the project “A gift for life: a sheep for a family in Eritrea" has been the only one that has never stopped. Thanks to your donation to GlobalGiving and thanks to private donors that have donated during one of our events we have raised 252 USD from May till August, making possible the delivery of 3 new sheep to one supported family!
Your help is always more important for a lot of children and families that live in this beautiful but unstable country.
Thank you!
