Every June, we take time to celebrate fathers – for some who are part of our biological family, and for those who are not but who take care of us just like a father. These special fathers serve in this role voluntarily because of love and compassion for those in need, and for this they deserve the greatest appreciation.
We want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank and honor you for becoming a father to so many children who have never known one. You may not realize how much it means to them, but they are eternally grateful. You are playing a true father’s role in the children’s lives by helping them to get an education, providing food and health, a safe place to live, and giving them hope with opportunities for their future.
As one of the children said – and he echoes what they all feel: “I have never seen my father but I’ve been so lucky to have an opportunity at the Small World that I have a father of my own.”
Happy Father’s Day – the impact of your generosity and kindness will last for the rest of their lives!
