Abaco Strong Breakfast for Children Program

As we approach the end of 2023, we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the generous donors who have supported the Abaco Strong, ABC Breakfast Program. Your kindness has had a profound impact, and we would like to shine a light on the positive changes your contributions have brought about.

Last September, we kicked off the second year of our breakfast program at Coopers Town Primary School, where we provide nourishing meals to 177 children twice a week in Abaco. Our menu embraces the flavors of Bahamian culture, offering a delightful assortment of sausage and grits, fruits, pancakes, locally sourced produce and farm-fresh eggs generously donated by a local farmer. 

A nutritious morning meal plays a pivotal role in fostering academic progress and achievement. Many families in Abaco are still struggling to put food on the table due to the lingering effects of the Global Pandemic and the devastation of Hurricane Dorian. Our goal is to ensure that each child will continue to receive a nutritious breakfast that kickstarts their school day throughout the school year.
