The Abaco Strong Breakfast for Children (ABC) Program serves a wholesome meal twice a week to nearly 200 students. A typical breakfast includes an assortment of sausage and grits, fresh fruits, fluffy pancakes, and locally sourced farm-fresh eggs, generously donated by a local farmer.
The impact of a nutritious breakfast extends far beyond the breakfast table. Studies have shown that children who start their day with a balanced meal exhibit improved concentration, better academic performance, and enhanced behavior in the classroom.
