Summary

Most of the children are left with their poor grandparents and those with living parents are in abject poverty in the area. Most girls marry at a tender age of below 14 and miss out on education that can help them avoid a life of poverty, abuse, and infant and maternal mortality. The purpose is to increase structures to ensure children access to education that is meaningful, make sure Girls are not excluded from education, because they are girls. Promote equal respect of boy and girls.

Challenge

Traditional gender norms constrain girls' opportunities for education, see it as a waste that are expected to be supported by husbands once they get married. Lower priority is given to girls' education, believed to be less worthy of education, girls miss out on opportunities to socialize, acquire knowledge, gain skills and autonomy, burdened with household chores at the cost of opportunities to build their lives. Unwanted pregnancies and early marriages putting an end to girls aspirations.

Solution

Improve and expand existing school to house more pupils to increase on the number of enrolled under privileged children, with better facilities. Providing essential supplies, enhancing the quality of education and learning to effectively make sure the school children can survive in future with skills acquired. Early Marriage Prevention initiative resulting from educating girls which take them many years in school, effectively helps girls resist pressures to marry early and dropout of school.

Long-Term Impact

Educated girl will be less likely to marry & have children while she is still young Educated girl will be literate, healthy & survive into adulthood as are her children. Educated girl will be less likely to be vulnerable to abuse, exploitation & disease. Increase enrollment creating greater education opportunity for underprivileged children. Conduct hands on skill training which it will create job opportunities. Improved knowledge on their right to sexual reproductive health services
