An Education That Makes a Difference

What a journey it has been since we officially started building our ambitious 4 unit classroom STEM block that will transform the educational experience in Ayenya D/A Basic school. Your generosity has overwhelmed us and aided us to complete the foundation of the building.

This project will bring a difference in the educational outcome of girls and boys a farming community that is used to falling walls, and potholes in the floors of the classroom making learning and teaching unattractive and sometimes even a death trap. As the dry season has now set in the children thankfully have one less issue to deal which is the rains which disrupt almost 20% of their learning periods in a year. So it is key for us to continue to work hard to complete the project before the rains start in June/July just four months away. We are hopeful that together with your support we will finish before the first rains.

With 5000 clay bricks available on site now our work will resume in the first week of February as we raise. I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank everyone who has supported this project so far and we look forward to officially opening the first STEM Impact Classroom in the coming months.
