Dear friends and supporters,

As we progress through 2025, we’re taking a moment to share where we stand in our journey to build a vocational high school in Magugu, Tanzania. In the past few months, we have consolidated earlier efforts and focused on securing the necessary resources to launch the next phase of our project.

Our permaculture garden, already established on site, continues to grow. It is not only a source of fresh, seasonal produce but also a space where students will be actively engaged in learning about sustainable agriculture and food systems. This garden will serve as the backbone for the upcoming school canteen, ensuring healthy, homegrown meals for all students once the kitchen is built.

To reinforce our project coordination and community engagement, we have welcomed the support of Service Civique volunteers. Two volunteers have recently contributed their time and skills on-site, assisting with various aspects of the project and we recently appointed a new volunteer who will be dedicated to project coordination for the next year.

Looking ahead, our next major milestones include:

  1. Building the school canteen and kitchen, which will serve both the students and the wider community.
  2. Constructing sanitation facilities, including toilets, to meet hygiene standards.
  3. Developing dormitories for students, staff, and volunteers to create a safe and accessible learning environment.

We are actively seeking funding to begin construction as soon as possible. These steps are essential to officially open the school and welcome our first full cohort of students.

Thank you for standing with us on this journey. Your continued support helps us lay strong, sustainable foundations for the future.

With gratitude,
The LifeTime Projects Team
