Dear GlobalGiving Supporters,

Thanks to your generosity and commitment, we are proud to share the impact of our collective efforts to improve access to safe and sustainable drinking water in rural communities.

26 wells rehabilitated and equipped
26 new reasons to hope
13,211 families benefiting from sustainable access to drinking water

Your contributions have helped make these achievements possible. Each well represents more than a water source: it is a step toward better health, improved living conditions, and greater dignity for thousands of families.

Our wells are equipped with solar-powered pumps and secure water storage tanks, providing communities with a more reliable, environmentally friendly, and sustainable water supply.

Behind every drop of water lies a collective effort. Behind every well are people whose lives are changing for the better.

This progress belongs to you as much as it belongs to the communities we serve. Thank you for believing in our mission and standing with JOOD ONG to build a future where access to safe drinking water is not a privilege, but a fundamental right.

We invite you to discover our project report and see what your generosity has helped accomplish.

With gratitude,

The JOOD ONG Team
Together for the dignity of the most vulnerable.

Providing Safe Drinking Water to Al Haouz Families

By Myriam Benzakour | Communications and Operations Director

Dear GlobalGiving supporters,

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who supported this project. Your generosity and trust have helped us bring sustainable access to safe drinking water to vulnerable families in the Al Haouz province following the devastating 2023 earthquake.

Although the project did not reach its full fundraising goal on the platform, the funds raised made it possible to carry out meaningful interventions where they were most needed. Thanks to the support received, JOOD successfully restored and rehabilitated community wells in remote mountain villages, improving access to clean water for hundreds of people.

The restored wells now provide a reliable source of drinking water for families who previously had to travel long distances to collect water. Beyond improving daily living conditions, these interventions contribute to better health, hygiene, and resilience for entire communities.

Throughout the implementation, we worked closely with local authorities, village representatives, and community members to ensure that the rehabilitation efforts responded to the real needs of each village and would remain sustainable over time.

As our organization enters a new phase of recovery and development in the region, we have decided to close this project on GlobalGiving. Since the project has not generated sufficient funding over an extended period, we are focusing our fundraising efforts on other active initiatives where we can maximize our impact and better engage our supporters.

This decision does not diminish our commitment to providing safe water and improving living conditions for vulnerable communities. We will continue integrating water access into our broader reconstruction and community development programs across the High Atlas.

To every donor who believed in this project: thank you. Your support has created lasting change and helped restore dignity and hope to families rebuilding their lives after the earthquake.

With gratitude,
