Dear Alhassan’s Donors,

We do highly thank you for your last donation. Your support made a major change for people who use accessible transportations in Egypt. Equipped rides project serves people with mobility issues. This project facilitates wheelchair-friendly transportation for the physically challenged people in Egypt, where there is no accessible transportation. Providing people with mobility issues with equipped rides is not luxury; it’s a necessity to help them become physically and socially independent.

Through your donation, you helped changing physically challenged people’s lives. Mahmoud’s life has been changed due to your participation. He is 31 years old. He suffers from Polio, which caused him to become paralyzed from the waist down. He is a permanent wheelchair user. This kind of physical challenge has prevented him from continuing his education as there is no accessible transportation. Going through this exclusion and discrimination is not fair. Now, he is working as a security officer in a school, the distance between his home and work is 5 Kilos. He goes to his workplace by riding his wheelchair in an unpaved road every day.

As Mahmoud is so energetic and very optimistic person, your donation has been a reason for offering him an equipped motorcycle to help him to commute to his workplace in a dignified way. Now, he is extremely happy and independent. He feels that he is free and can go anywhere easily as he lives in a poor area which does not provide accessible transportation. He becomes more sociable and active.

We encourage you to continue supporting us and staying loyal donor to our purpose through subscribing to a monthly recurring donation option. That will help wheelchair users in Egypt be more independent and successful.
