Creative Solutions to Physically challenged People

Dear Alhassan donors, supporters and believers,

Thank you for donating to equipped ride project! Your support helps in changing the lives of people with mobility issues in Egypt for the better. We delivered three equipped rides in the past three months to facilitate the daily lives of the physically challenged people.

Due to lack of accessible public transportation in Egypt, people usually stay at home and don’t pursue their dreams, hobbies or even education since most can’t afford to take an Uber or any private transportation every day.

In the equipped ride project, we offer an alternative to inaccessible public transportation and costly private transportation by providing tricycles to people who passes all official eligibility criteria. This tricycle can be drove by hand and has a place in the back in which wheelchair users can put their chair, secure it and move anywhere with it.

You cannot imagine the difference these tricycles make; they change lives! They help students pursue their education, help unemployed people find a job and last but not least, help athletes attend their trainings.

We would like to share a story of a father whose 7-years-old son has spina bifida. He applied for that tricycle as he faced a lot of obstacles trying to get his son from/to school and keeping up with his swimming lessons.

He wanted his kid to have a normal life and raise him on being an added-value in the society; raise him on believing that he’s not disabled, he’s DIFFERENTLY ABLED!

Saleh had to spend a lot of money on private transportation but now he drives his son everywhere at a fraction of the cost he used to pay before.

Now, Saleh’s son is doing well in school and has won multiple local swimming championships. All that is an indicator that we’re doing something right, that we’re staying true to our mission of serving wheelchair users in all aspects of their life.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for your support. We urge you to continue supporting our cause and stay our enthusiastic donor through subscribing to a monthly recurring donation which will help securing more funds to help wheelchair users in Egypt be physically independent.
