Dear Donors,

Thank you for your continued support! This project — which is close to our hearts, as Family Planning is one of our main organization pillars — has been flourishing, thanks in part to you. This year, we have already held five family planning events in the rural region of Chocó, Colombia, where women and men voluntarily received life changing health education, as well as contraception services and overall health checks.  These services are usually unavailable or hard to access due to the distance from clinics or due to financial barriers.

With your help, we provide patients with education and treatments, transportation to and from health clinics, and accommodations while they receive medical care, ensuring that they can fully recover from their operations.

To date, since our founding in 2019, we have impacted 34,000 people with these vital health services. These people now have more control over their sexual and reproductive health — with the power to choose when to have children and how many. This control opens the door to many other choices as well. When people have more control over reproduction, they can more easily choose to pursue education, develop their livelihoods, support existing families, and contribute to overall community wellbeing.

Please enjoy the attached photo of our co-founder, Isabella Cortés Lara, alongside a representative from Profamilia and women who attended a family planning event in July.

Thank you again for your help in making this project a success. We could not do it without you!

Sincerely,

The Women for Conservation Team.
