There are approximately 20,000 migrant children enrolled in migrant learning centers(MLC) in Tak province of Thailand whose opportunities are limited because of contributing factors including accredited education which the MLCs cannot provide. When children are enrolled in accredited schools, these children will receive protection through the government issued legal permits to stay in the country and health insurance.
No accredited education results to limited opportunities for children. No legal permits for children increases their vulnerability.
By enrolling these children in Thai schools, they will receive both accredited education, and legal permit to stay in Thailand.
Children will be in a better position to choose the life they want and will potentially become an asset to the community.
