The Accelerator. Innovative therapy child cancer

It has been more than 6 months of work by the research and therapy team of the University Hospital of La Paz in Madrid with children with cancer who arrive from all over Spain.
The first research group of children who will receive a biometric measurement device for the duration of their process is already underway, and from whom we will be able to continue learning about how to advance in therapy and the consequences of prescribing physical exercise in this type of patient.

Each child who is diagnosed in the hospital already receives a medical prescription for this therapy from their pediatrician, and in parallel to their pharmacological treatments they will receive the therapy. This therapy is carried out by professionals funded by the Foundation, being assimilated public personnel. We take care of the sustainability of the project as a public service.In fact, we are going to incorporate a second professional therapist in the coming weeks to provide the best care to all the children's cancer patients in the hospital.

We continue to work and finance the development of the project's digital tool, accommodating from now on the evolution of the patient and family journey, as well as continuing to revolutionize through technology the way in which research in this area is collected and worked on.
