As a shaky and unclear ceasefire came into effect for many in I/P, our participants continued in their learning and volunteer placements.
A week ago, the cohort were able to leave Jerusalem for a weekend at Neve Shalom, the only Palestinian-Jewish joint community in Israel. They heard from residents in the value and also challenges of shared living and communal building.
Today, they went on a tour with Breaking the Silence to Hebron to see the realities of an equal city, supremacy and apartheid. They met with Issa Amro, a human rights defender from the city who spoke of his life, struggle, and vision.
the cohort continues for another three weeks to engage in the ground and to learn from Palestinian and Israeli activists.
