Our  data training program that  started August 2022 and ended February 2023 all the 33 participants graduated from an intensive data skills training programme covering skills in getting, cleaning, analysing and visualising quantitative and qualitative data sets for online advocacy. Gained experience using free online tools including Google Sheets, Google Forms, Wordcounter, Datawrapper and ColorBrewer. Able to clean and analyse data in spreadsheets using find and replace, conditional formatting, pivot tables and functions such as VLOOKUP, IF and TRANSPOSE

As a result of this data training program we have developed and project called LIVE that will be implemented for the next months depending on the availability of resources.

Project Goal:

 Develop the replicable systems that enable LGBTQ communities and networks to dispel bias and inspire respect and acceptance.

 

Project Objectives:

  1. To reach 100,000 engaged users via active social media accounts (Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram, Discord, Snapchat, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Substack);
  2. To reach 500,000 individuals through social/traditional media anti-bias campaign messaging; To reach 20,000 individuals in monthly community events, each 33 different locations; To provide mental/behavioral health support and resources; To provide quarterly Advocacy and Constitutional Protections Training for Lawyers; To provide communities with digital and physical/mobile resources educational libraries on health, drugs, sex education, trauma, abuse as well as economic and personal empowerment.

 

  1. Conduct annual needs assessment and trauma-informed approach across all activities; More than 100,000 community members engage with diversified, respectful messaging regarding respect and tolerance for all human rights; LIVE will develop sustainable collaborations and partnerships with at least 50 diverse organizations anddevelop sustainable collaborations and partnerships with at least 25 community stakeholders; anti-bias messaging to reach more than 500,000 over the course of the project, via digital, traditional, and social media, with a focus on impact.
