Summary

My name is Peter Badia, a Life Coach and Financial Trainer with Kingdom Biz Network (SHG) a community based initiative committed to advance Financial Inclusion in order to STOP Child labour and to ensure each child has at least 15 years of full-time formal education. Research has been done to discover that Savings Groups contribute to financial inclusion by serving excluded market segments in countries and regions characterized by low formal financial sector participation.

Challenge

The root cause of child labour is extreme poverty as seen among the 1000 vulnerable families we are Reaching. Children are exposed to danger as they are sent out to sell vegetables and fruits to supplement family income. Unfortunately some are exploited sexually as they look for money. We are seeing a steady increase in Teenage pregnancy and sometime early marriages. Starting a new business is always tough and Launching one that focuses on the needs of the word's poorest often seems Impossible

Solution

Patient Capital is the scarce resource that allows new, sometimes crazy, potentially world-changing ideas see the light of day. Kingdom Biz Network seeks to raise the much needed Patient Capital for the vulnerable poor together with appropriate training for Business Development. We do not seek to maximize financial returns through this initiative instead we seek to maximize social impact and to catalyze the creation of markets to combat poverty

Long-Term Impact

The project will impact 1000 households through 50 Saving Groups with each Group having 20 members.1000 families comprising of 7000 individuals will benefit indirectly. Each Family is estimated to have 7 members. Women will be empowered economically and made self-reliant through provision of credit facilities. Child Labour will stop and 5000 victims restored with loving care, spiritual and emotional counselling, and and effective education/ vocational training.
