Although the Covid-19 situation had closed AIL’s teacher training program a 10-day literacy workshop was held in August for 45 master teachers from the Department of Education. The workshop covered topics of modern, interactive, student centered teaching methodologies. This approach changes the way literacy is taught and speeds literacy acquisition. The participants were all pleased with the workshop and said they learned a lot of valuable information during the intensive sessions.
Recently, Meraj Media Group which includes TV Meraj and Radio Meraj , signed an agreement with departments of journalism and higher education institutes, agreeing to provide informative, accurate educational content based on fact, science and truth. These media outlets are valued resources for teachers who rely on them for accurate information on current topics to incorporate into their lessons.
